Gate Controls Buying Advice

As more and more people’s standard of living increases, many want to live in gated residential communities. Because of this, gated residential communities and garden apartments across the country are being built at unprecedented speed. All gated and fenced residential communities have several things in common. Gates and fences provide the perception of security, safety, and privacy. In affluent residential neighborhoods, privacy means exclusivity and therefore increased property values. Adding an attractive automatic entry gate system can easily add a lot more to a single family home values within some communities regardless of whether it has any effect on crime.

A gate controlling system usually includes a microprocessor which normally automatically closes a gate after it has been opened in response to a radio signal or sensor loop signal, and which normally locks the gate against movement when the gate motor is stopped. When an obstruction is sensed in the path of the gate, the automatic closing feature and the sensor loops are disabled, the gate drive remains unlocked even though the motor is stopped, and the response of the system to a radio signal is changed to produce alternating opening and closing of the gate on successive radio signals. At all times, the gate drive lock is released before the motor is started and is not engaged until after the gate has come to rest. Field adjustment of the obstruction sensor is avoided by generating an obstruction signal only when the gate speed falls below the operating speed of a gate imposing the largest design load on the motor, and the speed at which an obstruction is sensed is adjustable in discrete increments by digital switches so that the specific load level at which the system sees an obstruction may be selected to fit various conditions.

In the gate control set, there are an oscillator arranged for generating the first pulse signal on which the AC output frequency of the inverter is based, a delay circuit for generating a second pulse signal delayed for a predetermined period of time from the first pulse signal, and a ring counter for generating responsive to the second pulse signal a phase reference signal corresponding in phase to the AC output of the inverter. An ON pulse is generated responsive to the second pulse and the phase reference signal and an OFF pulse responsive to the first pulse and the phase reference signal. A negative bias signal is generated following the OFF pulse.

Buying Suggestions:
Adding a new gate to your residence may cost you a large sum of money. So please spend time on comparing all the different sets and modules for all kinds of gate control. Check how many channels the digital transceiver has and how long the range is. Check the battery and backup battery and make sure all the wireless components are working well. It is important to verify the security of the signal as you don't want someone else to be able to open your gate without your permission.
